In the many life roles I've held, including speech therapist, voice coach, author, and TEDx speaker, my passion has been to help people speak up for what matters to them, in a way that makes others want to listen. I value family, good communication, and healthy relationships. I love to sing, laugh, and watch British crime shows. No offense to dog people, but I am and have always been a cat lover.
I am transitioning into the next chapter of my life: as a seminarian at Virginia Theological Seminary (Class of '27). After many years of discernment, I believe God is calling me to this path, and ultimately, to become an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church. I know God will use all of my life experiences to better serve people along my path and help them know how much God loves them.
Availability is limited, but I have capacity to serve a small number of highly motivated coaching clients. My heart is drawn to working with leaders, speakers, and ministers who have a desire to spread integrity, love, and respect in the world.
I can help you:
1. simplify your message
2. craft an inspirational presentation (or TEDx talk)
3. deliver an engaging and memorable sermon
As a voice and communication strategist, I specialize in helping my clients get their message across clearly, concisely, and confidently so they can connect with their audience and make a difference with their voice. My mission is to empower speakers, leaders, and ministers to make a positive impact and contribute to a kinder world, using my Speak Up With HEART® philosophy.
HEART is an acronym for
Honesty, Empathy, Alignment, Resolve, and Tone.
In this book I share some of the experiences and insights found along my journey to find and unleash my voice, as a woman of faith, mother, wife, super-volunteer, closet clutter-collector, and new entrepreneur. I hope that in reading Voice Unleashed you will see and relate to what can happen when you let go of what no longer serves you, embrace your truth, and find the courage to speak up for what matters in your heart.
In this blog I will share thoughts, experiences, stuff I'm learning, and things that inspire me while attending Virginia Theological Seminary, starting in August 2024. It's called "Fourth Career" because seminary marks the beginning of my fourth career, after previous seasons as a speech therapist, full-time mother, and entrepreneur/business owner/voice and communication coach.
